Bobby Matos Latin-Jazz Seminar

On Saturday, October 27, MI hosts a special seminar on Latin Jazz Percussion presented by renowned percussionist/bandleader Bobby Matos. The New York-born musician has toured and recorded with a long list of stars including Bobby Hutcherson, Tito Puente, Mongo Santamaria, Miriam Makeeba and many others.
The seminar is sponsored by the City of Los Angeles and students will be invited from various public schools as well as MI. Topics will include an exploration of the works of Latin-Jazz artists and Latin-Jazz arranging. The seminar will conclude with a concert performance.
