On Thursday, June 11, GIT welcomes the return of Alex Skolnick, lead guitarist for iconic metal band Testament and the innovative force behind the Alex Skolnick Trio. ("What Alex is doing by putting heavy metal songs in a jazz context is completely refreshing,” says Metallica’s Kirk Hammett.) The celebrated guitarist, who has worked with everyone from Ozzy Osbourne to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, will perform and field music and career questions from attendees.
