The Jazz Bakery at MI presents Stormy Weather: The Lena Horne Project in a special evening show at MI's Concert Hall (this event is open to the public).
The show weaves live narrative from author James Gavin (Stormy Weather: the Life of Lena Horne), vocals from music legend Mary Wilson (The Supremes), and actual film footage from Horne’s career into a multimedia concert production that follows the life and career of this American icon.
Date/Time: Thursday, September 29, 8:30pm (one show only) Location: Musicians Institute Concert Hall, 1655 N. McCadden Place, Hollywood CA 90028 Ticket Information General Public: Tickets ($30) are available at the door; order online HERE. MI Students: sign up by 10am Wednesday 9/28 at the MI Student Affairs office to receive free admission (maximum two tickets per student, no outside guests). After free tickets are handed out, student tickets are $15 with valid school ID.
