Quincy Jones Presents the Alfredo Rodriguez Trio In Jazz Bakery Performance at MI

On Thursday, September 30, Quincy Jones will personally present phenomenal Cuban pianist Alfredo Rodriguez and his trio in performance at MI’s Concert Hall as part of the Jazz Bakery’s “Moveable Feast” series. The trio, featuring Peter Slavov (Bass) and Francisco Mela (Drums), will perform one show only at 8:30pm. “When I first heard him play, he knocked me on my booty, man!” said the legendary producer. “He is very special and I do not say that easily because I have been surrounded by the best musicians in the world my entire life, and he is one of the best!” (click here to see Rodriguez and trio in performance at the Warsaw Jazz at the Old Town Festival in July 2010).
