BIT welcomes bassist Rufus Philpot for a series of Friday Open Counseling sessions during the month of August. Rufus currently performs with a number of groups including, Planet X, the Virgil Donati Band, Down to the Bone, and Tribal Tech drummer Kirk Covington's new trio. He is also known for his performances and recordings with Allan Holdsworth, Randy Brecker, Joel Rosenblatt, Scott Henderson, Scott Kinsey, Tony MacAlpine, Greg Howe, Thomas Lang, Marco Minneman, Mitch Forman, Joey Heredia, Gary Novak and Will Kennedy. He endorses Ibanez basses, La Bella Strings and Gallien Krueger amplification.
