Howard Alden: Jazz Guitar Open Counseling
Aug 26, 2008

On Tuesday, August 26 GIT proudly presents a return Open Counseling session with Howard Alden, one of the most formidable jazz guitarists on the scene today. Alden is internationally known as a master of the seven-string guitar, with 21 recordings as a leader and numerous sideman credits alongside jazz legends including Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Pass, and Scott Hamilton. He also lent his masterful touch to Woody Allen’s Academy Award-nominated film Sweet and Lowdown, providing the real-life virtuosity behind Sean Penn's fictional persona as one of the world's greatest jazz guitarists.
