Eric Paschal Memorial Service Announced

A memorial service for longtime MI Guitar instructor Eric Paschal will be held at 10:00am on Monday, June 27 at Our Lady of the Desert Church, 18386 Corwin Rd., Apple Valley, CA.Eric passed away on Friday, June 17 due to complications from cancer. A native of Dallas, Texas, Eric was a member of the very first graduating class of the Guitar Institute of Technology (GIT) in 1978, He soon returned to MI and joined the teaching staff, where he remained a highly-regarded core instructor until he was forced to retire after suffering a stroke in 2000.Known for his dry wit, versatile musicianship, and outstanding teaching ability, Eric co-wrote (with fellow instructor Bruce Buckingham) GIT's renowned Rhythm Guitar curriculum as well as Rhythm Guitar (The Complete Guide) and Contemporary Acoustic Guitar for MI Press/Hal Leonard Publishing. His original CD Road Music is available from Guitar Nine Records.
