Carol Welsman Vocal Seminar May 13, 2009
On Wednesday, May 13 MI welcomes a return seminar appearance by Carol Welsman. Welsman is an internationally acclaimed singer and pianist whose expressive vocal styling and dynamic stage presence have captivated audiences around the world. She has sold over 60,000 CDs in Canada alone, something few jazz artists in Canada have experienced, and received an award for "Pianist-Keyboardist of the Year" and nomination for "Best Female Vocalist" at the 2006 Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards. She has released five CDs to date with four receiving nominations for Juno Awards, the Canadian equivalent to the Grammy Awards.
