VIT Presents Indie Marketing Seminar
Apr 26, 2007

On Thursday, April 26, VIT presents a seminar on independent artist marketing and promotion with Rudy Chavarria, Jr. Mr. Chavarria began his career as a studio runner and assistant engineer at the world-famous A&M Studios in Hollywood. From there he moved to the prominent Christian record label, Frontline Music Group, where he specialized in promotion and marketing. While at Frontline, friend and associate Norman Winter introduced him to music mogul Danny Sims, publisher of Cayman Music and owner of the Bob Marley catalog, who hired him on the spot. Since then, Chavarria has been Sims’ right-hand man for college radio, retail, street-team advertising, marketing and promotion. Rudy and his company, American Amp , have gone on to promote and market numerous Bob Marley releases, including four box sets, and have diversified into marketing private colleges, television, motion pictures, magazines, and the food & beverage industry.
