GIT Presents Jimmy Wyble Open Counseling

|    Apr 10, 2007

GIT welcomes Jimmy Wyble back for a return engagement with an afternoon open counseling session following his recent very well-received clinic at the school.

Acknowledged as one of the guitar world’s all-time greats, Wyble’s discography and touring credits spans the gamut of Western Swing and Jazz; from Bob Wills and the Texas Playboys to Benny Goodman, Red Norvo, Frank Sinatra, Barney Kessel, and Tony Rizzi's Five Guitars. Many of his peers consider him a genius-level talent, and among his former students are such guitar luminaries as Howard Roberts and Steve Lukather. Wyble also spent years as one of Hollywood’s top studio players, flexing his chops for recording dates, television shows, commercials and film scores. A regular visiting faculty member during the early years of GIT, Wyble is also the author of an authoritative and highly acclaimed method, The Art of Two-Line Improvisation.
