Jazz Bakery at MI Presents the Antonio Sanchez Quartet

On Saturday March 27, the Jazz Bakery at MI Presents the Antonio Sanchez Quartet in concert. The group, featuring Antonio Sanchez (Drums), Dave Binney (Sax), Donny McCaslin (Sax), and Scott Colley (Bass), will perform two shows at 8:00 and 9:30pm in MI’s Concert Hall. New York City-based Antonio Sanchez has become one of the most sought-after drummers on the international jazz scene. He has performed and recorded with some of the biggest names in jazz including Pat Metheny (as a member of the Pat Metheny Group and the Pat Metheny Trio with Christian McBride), Chick Corea, Michael Brecker, Charlie Haden, Gary Burton and Toots Thielmans.

Antonio is also a faculty member at prestigious New York University (NYU) and a highly-regarded clinician with endorsements from Yamaha  Drums, Zildjian Cymbals and Sticks (Antonio’s Signature model), Evans Drumheads and LP Percussion .

MI Students: the first 20 MI students per show to sign up in advance at the MI Student Services office will receive free admission (maximum of two tickets per student).
