GIT Presents Howard Alden, Bruce Forman in Joint Clinic Feb 28, 2008
On February 28, 2008, GIT is proud to present the formidable talents of two of the top jazz guitarists on the scene today in a special joint clinic.
Howard Alden (pictured) is internationally known as a master virtuoso of seven-string Jazz guitar. Howard has made 21 recordings as a leader and his sideman credits include Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Pass, Scott Hamilton, and many more. His guitar work is featured in Woody Allen’s Academy Award-nominated film, Sweet and Lowdown.
Bruce Forman has 13 recordings as a leader, with additional collaborations including Bobby Hutcherson, Ray Brown, Freddie Hubbard, Richie Cole, Joe Henderson, and Barney Kessel. His guitar work is featured in Clint Eastwood’s Academy Award-winning film, Million Dollar Baby. He is currently a member of the faculty at USC.
