D'addario/Planet Waves And MI Present the Frank Gambale Trio

|    Feb 25, 2010

On Thursday, February 25 at 4:00pm in the Concert Hall, D’Addario/Planet Waves and GIT present fusion guitar pioneer Frank Gambale for a special Concert/Clinic. Joined by Steve Billman on bass, and MI’s own Joel Taylor on drums, Gambale will perform a live set as well as explain his world-renowned rock/fusion guitar style, covering everything from his own custom tunings, double-neck playing approaches, and, of course, the dazzling sweep-picking technique that he pioneered and that has made him a global guitar icon.

D’Addario, one of the most respected guitar and bass string manufacturers in the industry, will also present a brief, informative seminar on “Everything You MUST Know About Strings.”

BONUS! FREE STRINGS FOR MI STUDENTS!
From 2:00-4:00pm in MI’s Passage, D’Addario will be giving away free strings to all guitar and bass students, who will be able to meet one-on-one with string experts to learn exactly which strings are right for their stylistic leanings, acoustic or electric instruments, and specific scale lengths.

One lucky visitor to the D’Addario booth will also win a generous gift pack featuring ten sets of D'Addario EXP Electric strings plus a complete accessory kit (strap, tuner, cable, capo, polishes, Varigrip, Prowinder, etc.) from D’Addario’s sister company Planet Waves, which will be awarded before Gambale’s performance in the Concert Hall.
