On Monday, February 23, guitarist Gonzalo Bergara will conduct his debut Open Counseling session at MI. Gonzalo, who specializes in Gypsy Jazz and Argentinean styles, has toured extensively with the John Jorgenson Quintet and performed and recorded with artists including Tim Hauser (Manhattan Transfer), French pop icon Sylvie Vartan, Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks, and NY jazz guitar virtuoso Howard Alden, and he has performed at The Montreal Jazz Fest, Playboy Jazz Fest, Sweet and Hot Jazz fest, Django Reinhardt Fest in Germany, Suev Guitar Fest in Italy, Merle Fest, Strawberry Fest and many others.  His new CD, Porteña Soledad, was named an Editor’s Pick by Guitar Player magazine and declared a “masterpiece” by Vintage Guitar magazine.
