On Friday, February 22 RIT welcomes renowned engineer-producer Tony Smalios for an intimate hands-on mixing master class. Working at the Studio A SSL 4000G+ console, Smalios will show students in real time how he handles the details of a mix.
Smalios has worked for over twenty-five years as a composer, engineer, and producer in both the music and television industries. He is the recipient of multiple Grammy awards, as well as dozens of Gold and Platinum albums, and has worked with such notable clients as Arista, BMG, CBS, Columbia, Chrysalis, Electra, BMG, Epic, Geffen, Interscope, Islan, Jive, Maverick, Motown, MTV, VHI, Sony (France, Greece, Japan, UK, US), Universal, Warner Brothers, NBC, and Virgin.
