The Bass Program at MI has named renowned bassist Stu Hamm as Artist in Residence for the Winter 2010 quarter. The ongoing Artist in Residence program provides MI Bass students with ongoing access to world-class bassists through special clinics and other activities over the length of a quarter.

In addition to his work with guitarists Steve Vai, Frank Gambale and Joe Satriani, Stu Hamm has released five solo albums. While in residence, he will conduct several seminars (February 11, February 18, March 4) exploring his approach to bass as both a solo and ensemble instrument.
