Talent Producer Peter Cohen to Teach Audition Techniques

MI is proud to announce that leading entertainment industry talent broker Peter Cohen will teach a new course titled, “Auditioning Techniques for Professional Musicians.” Alongside his teaching duties he will also join Barry Squire’s successful Hiring Hall talent showcase in hosting music industry auditions at MI.Peter is well-known in the music industry as talent producer for Mark Burnett Productions, where he conducted talent searches for the TV series Rockstar: Supernova, Rockstar: INXS, The Road To Stardom with Missy Elliott, Pussycat Dolls Presents and Star Search. Peter previously worked for Epic Records as A&R Executive where he was responsible of developing and implementing a worldwide talent scouting and research department. Throughout his seven years with the legendary label, Peter was instrumental in scouting, developing, and marketing major international recording artists of all styles. Through his current company Special Teams Music, Peter manages artists and producers including the acclaimed pop singer/songwriter MoZella (Warner Bros Records) and writer/producer/guitarist Kevin Cadogan (Third Eye Blind). He also continues to serve as an A&R consultant for several major labels including Sony Music and Universal Music Group. In his audition class, Peter will train students in the crucial techniques and tips for successful auditioning including stage techniques, preparation, material selection, interviewing, energy, imaging, finding the opportunities, follow-up, on/off stage, and more.
