On Monday, November 30 and Monday, December 7, MI’s Keyboard Technology Department presents guest Open Counseling sessions with renowned jazz pianist Otmaro Ruiz. 

Considered one of the most important pianists on the current scene, Venezuelan native Ruiz is known for both versatility and virtuosity.  The list of world-renowned musicians Otmaro has recorded and toured with includes John McLaughlin, Tito Puente, Arturo Sandoval, John Patitucci, Paquito D’Rivera, Frank Gambale, Peter Erskine, David Weckl, Robben Ford, Vinnie Colaiuta, Marcus Miller and Jon Anderson, among many others.

These sessions are open to all MI students ­– bring your axe if you want to jam! 10am-1pm, room MI245.
