MI kicks off the fall Thursday concert series with a performance featuring KIT instructor Gail Johnson fronting an outstanding musical lineup. Johnson, who has spent the last several years touring as musical director for recording artist (and ex-GIT instructor) Norman Brown, describes the sound as "smooth jazz with a feminine touch". The players include MI instructors Soleh Brewer (keyboards) and Matt Baldoni (guitar), as well as Chuck Jefferson (bass), David Leech (percussion), Demitric Collins (drums), Aaron Fletcher (saxophone), and Charlia Boyer and Vidais Lovette on lead vocals with Michael Thompson providing backup. The show (free to MI students) begins at 7:00pm in P-100.
