RIT Hosts All-Star Sessions
Jan 19, 2004

RIT students are getting a special treat this quarter through a couple of sessions currently booked into MI’s Studio A.
Producer-engineer-guitarist-vocalist-RIT instructor-hyphenate TJ Helmrich is manning the SSL for the follow-up to his last release, Uncle Moe’s Space Ranch, featuring an all-star lineup of Dennis Chambers on drums, Gary Willis on bass, Scott Kinsey on keys (ace guitar compatriot Brett Garsed will be joining later for overdubs). In separate sessions, TJ is engineering while fusion guitar master-Tribal Tech-GIT instructor Scott Henderson dubs tracks onto drummer Vinnie Coliauta’s latest disc. As usual, RIT students are earning resume credits and second engineer experience while working with world-class musicians on top-of-the-line gear.
