Music Licensing Workshop with Elliot Waldhorn
Jan 16, 2009

On Friday, January 16, MI’s Recording Artist program and Artist and Career Services Department present a special seminar on Music Licensing with Elliot Waldhorn. Songwriter-producer Waldhorn’s work has received over 4000 national and international airplays to date, appearing on TV (Dawson’s Creek, Pimp My Ride), in films (Two Weeks Notice, Collateral) and recordings with artists including C-Blunt and Shon Reddick. During the two-part seminar, he will discuss the fundamentals of licensing, how to get into it, what to write, what not to write, and how to make money. In the second half, Elliot will listen to student-submitted recordings and evaluate them in terms of licensing potential.
