On Thursday January 15th, GIT welcomes the eighth annual appearance by Favored Nations artist and chicken pickin' master Johnny Hiland. Hiland has performed with guitar greats Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, and Yngwie Malmsteen among others and has recorded with Toby Keith and Ricky Skaggs as a member of the Nashville "A-list" session elite. At MI, he will demonstrate his phenomenal technique and phrasing in a special concert/clinic event as well as an intimate, free-form Open Counseling session where guitar students will be able to jam with Johnny.
