Widegren, Lenny
Guitar

Lenny Widegren was born and raised in Sweden, where he performed and recorded albums with his bands, Boulevard and The Ungrateful. After relocating to Los Angeles to further his musical career and receiving a Bachelor of Music degree from MI, he was asked to join the GIT staff. Since moving to LA, Lenny has toured and recorded two albums to date with his original band, Elegantly Wasted, and has shared the stage with artists including Billy Sheehan (Mr.Big), Gilby Clarke (Guns and Roses), Ray Luzier (David Lee Roth, Army of Anyone), Slim Jim Phantom (Stray Cats), Stephen Pearcy (Ratt), and Clem Burke (Blondie). He also performs sessions and live dates with other artists around the Los Angeles area. As a guitarist, Lenny specializes in rock, hard rock and metal but also plays blues and slide guitar with equal passion. At MI, Lenny is currently teaching private lessons, open counseling, and the Hard Rock Live Playing Workshop as well as elective classes in Rock Rhythm Guitar, Rock Lead Guitar and Alternative Guitar Heroes.
