Smith, Putter (Patrick) Bass
Upright Specialist Putter Smith has worked with music legends ranging from Thelonious Monk and Art Blakey to Phil Spector, the Beach Boys, John Mayall, Marlene Dietrich and Burt Bacharach. In addition to playing concerts with his own band Left Coast, Putter is a very active figure on the Los Angeles jazz scene, performing and recording with numerous other artists, including Alan Broadbent, Mose Allison, Karin Alyson, Natalie Cole, Sam Most, Walter Norris, Larry Koonse, Dave Koonse and Gary Foster. His schedule at MI includes Sight-reading and Walking Basslines as well as Private Lessons on Upright Bass.
