Pfeifer, Daren Drums
Daren Pfeifer is from Abilene, Texas and has performed as the principal percussionist with the Waco Symphony and played with the Abilene Philharmonic Orchestra. He earned his Bachelors in Music Education at Baylor University and was a member of the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps. In 2000, Daren completed his Masters of Fine Arts at the California Institute of the Arts, where he studied with John Bergamo and Joe LaBarbera, and in 2004 joined the Novo Philharmonic as principal timpanist. He is the author of Advanced Pedal Applications: a Comprehensive Study of Pedal Bridging and Multiple- Pedal Setups, plays drums for alternative rock band Earshot (Vertu Records), is active on the Los Angeles live music scene, and has toured throughout North America. In 2009, Daren founded Knock Box Studio and he is a proud endorser of Ddrum, Evans drumheads, Puresound, Regal-Tip and HQ percussion. At MI, Daren teaches Private Lessons.
