By the age of 15, Charissa Howard was singing the National Anthem at major events, such as the Bonneville National Speed Week and Championship Boxing. In 2004, Charissa was chosen as a cast member for the MTV pilot “Girl Makes Band,” and a year later she released her debut album This Road. Charissa has performed numerous gigs with R&B and Top-40 bands and as a session vocalists for producers and artists, such as Reba McEntire, Jesse McCartney, Raven Simone, Sophie B. Hawkins and Tre Hardson. In 2007, Charissa co-formed Perpetuate Music and Perpetuate Records, subsequently releasing her first single “Long Days,” which went to #1 in several U.S. markets. Charissa is currently performing with her original blues/rock band Sun City Revival. At MI, Charissa teaches Vocal Performance, Private Lessons and a number of Live Performance Workshops.
