Monica Mancillas graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of California at Berkeley, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Socio-Cultural Anthropology. Upon graduation, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the recording arts. She has since worked as a Studio Manager and engineer with such artists as Cannibus, Sunshine Anderson, Kurupt, Killah Priest, George Clinton, Laurence Tollhurst, Kool Keith, Interscope, Hollywood Records, and Warner Brothers. While devoted to the field of audio engineering and production, Monica spends much of her time in the studio as a session vocalist, pianist, and songwriter, and has just released her first self-produced album, entitled “On the Brink”.
