Lula, Charles "Jami" Vocals
Jami Lula is an award-winning singer, songwriter, performer and recording artist. In 2009, Jami released his fourth solo record There’s a Healin’ Goin’ On (Circle Up Records), the title song of which was nominated for a Posipalooza Award. In service to the community, Jami has completed his tenure as music director for the United Centers for Spiritual Living annual Asilomar Conference. Jami was awarded The Youth Champion Award in 2009 (for his extensive work with teens and young adults) and was twice nominated as “Vocalist of The Year” by the L.A. Music Awards — an award he won in 1997. Jami’s work has earned rave reviews from the L.A. Times, The Album Network, and Whole Life Times. At MI, Jami teaches Artist Development, Private Lessons, Creativity and Live Performance Workshops.
