Emmons, Tim
Bass

Tim is an active freelance musician and a veteran of more than one hundred film and television scores including The Simpsons, Family Guy, Mission Impossible III, The Incredibles The Day After Tomorrow, Something’s Gotta Give, and The Wedding Planner and for dozens of major theatrical productions including Candide, Swan Lake, Swing, and Ragtime.  He is known as a performer on both contrabass (Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Josh Groban, Justin Timberlake, Kenny G, Andrea Boccelli, Brandy, John Tesh, Toni Braxton) and bass (Joe Pass, Richard Greene, Bo Diddley, Art Pepper, Lionel Hampton, Liza Minelli, Donna Summer, Carol Channing, Rod Stewart, Cab Calloway). In 2000 he joined the seminal Classical-Jazz-Fusion ensemble Freeflight, and in 2001 arranged, conducted and performed on the soundtrack of HBO’s F. Scott Fitzgerald bio-pic Last Call and Peter Bogdanovich’s The Cat’s Meow. Tim also directs actor Jeff Goldblum’s “Mildred Snitzer Jazz Orchestra”. As an educator, he teaches bass and directs the Jazz Ensemble at Occidental College and is a bass instructor at Cal State Los Angeles, Azusa Pacific University, the University of Redlands, the University of California at Riverside, and Musicians Institute.
