Emmons, Tim Bachelor
Tim Emmons is an active freelance musician and a veteran of more than 100 film and television scores, including “The Simpsons,” “Family Guy,” Mission Impossible III, The Incredibles, The Day After Tomorrow, Something’s Gotta Give and The Wedding Planner, and for dozens of major theatrical productions, such as Candide, Swan Lake, Swing and Ragtime. He is known as a performer on both contrabass (for Stevie Wonder, Beyonce, Josh Groban, Justin Timberlake, Kenny G, Andrea Boccelli, Brandy, John Tesh and Toni Braxton) and bass (for Joe Pass, Richard Greene, Bo Diddley, Art Pepper, Lionel Hampton, Liza Minelli, Donna Summer, Carol Channing, Rod Stewart and Cab Calloway). In 2000 Tim joined the seminal Classical/-Jazz/-Fusion ensemble Freeflight, and in 2001 he arranged, conducted and performed on the soundtrack of HBO’s F. Scott Fitzgerald biopic Last Call and Peter Bogdanovich’s The Cat’s Meow. Tim also directs actor Jeff Goldblum’s Mildred Snitzer Jazz Orchestra. As an educator, Tim teaches bass and directs the Jazz Ensemble at Occidental College and is a Bass Instructor at Cal State Los Angeles, Azusa Pacific University, The University of Redlands, The University of California at Riverside and Musicians Institute.
