Clayden, Jon Vocals
Aside from his duties as Director of MI’s Vocal Program, Jon Clayden has performed live in 27 countries as a headlining act as well as on festivals, such as Ozzfest, Reading and Warped Tour, alongside industry giants that include Black Sabbath, Iggy Pop, Ozzy Osbourne, Incubus, Queens of the Stone Age, Tool, Metallica and many more. Jon was formerly an Associate Director for The Los Angeles Film and Recording Schools and now holds a Master’s in Music Business Management from the University of Middlesex in London. Jon has licensed his own music (and that of artists from his own record company) to movie and TV productions, including The Adjustment Bureau, Limitless, Unknown, The Green Hornet, Transformers, Star Trek, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more. Jon’s studio experience includes writing and performing 10 releases for labels, including Geffen, Universal and MCA, with such name producers as Dave Jerden (Alice in Chains, Offspring, Jane’s Addiction) and Machine (Fall Out Boy, Lamb of God). Jon’s musical collaborations include studio recordings with Jello Biafra (Dead Kennedys) and John Stanier (Helmet) and live performances with Slash (Guns N’ Roses), Billy Duffy (The Cult), Steve Jones (Sex Pistols) and Matt Sorum (Velvet Revolver). Jon has created remixes for a wide range of bands, including the platinum-selling Welsh rockers Stereophonics. As a music consultant, Jon has worked with firms such as Bear Stearns, Bain & Co. and Kensico Capital, and has provided rights-and-clearances guidance for feature-length documentaries such as Wake Up Screaming.
