Katie Campbell earned her Bachelor of Music degree in Jazz Studies from Western Michigan University and has had the privilege of performing all over the world as a vocalist. Her musical experience includes touring as a background singer with Sheryl Crow, singing on Bobby McFerrin’s Grammy-nominated album VOCAbuLarieS and with Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Ziggy Marley and on film scores, including The Day the Earth Stood Still and The Last Airbender. She has been a featured vocalist with the San Gabriel Seven (Pasadena), The Wee Trio (New York City) and the New West Guitar Quartet (Los Angeles). Katie is also the soprano in the L.A.-based jazz ensemble “The Ron McCurdy Collective.” At MI, Katie teaches in the Bachelor of Music Program.
