MI Connects is M.I.’s online in-house resource for talent at Musicians Institute. MI Connects receives frequent calls from bandleaders, managers, potential music students, producers, booking agents, A&R representatives and studio managers who require the services of trained musicians and engineers.

MI Connects features an online database where members can post a player profile including mp3s, photos, a video, and a resume. Once you’re a member you gain access to online job boards, an MI Connects exclusive search engine, and a community forum. Gig opportunities are posted weekly on MI Connects job boards on the website and in school.

The listings range from various paying gigs to original bands showcasing for record labels to signed artists auditioning or replacing band members. For audio engineers, opportunities range from intern and runner positions to first engineer jobs in both audio and post-production facilities. You may also receive referrals for teaching and other musical opportunities in the LA area and beyond.

All students are highly encouraged to become members of MI Connects as soon as they come to M.I. The contacts and networking remain equally important in the years after graduation – many of M.I.’s success stories have come about because former students stayed in touch with each other and MI.
