Music Business

In 2003, singer/guitarist Rob Danson moved to Hollywood to attend the Recording Artist Program.  After six months, he graduated at the top of his class after having produced a 12-song album for which he received the "Best Project” Award. After graduation, Rob became a Teaching Assistant and then a Project Advisor in his own right, coaching students on their projects and academics. In 2007, he put aside teaching to attend MI’s Music Business Program and focus on his band, Death to Anders.  Songs from the band's sophomore album Fictitious Business have been receiving airplay on  major LA stations including KROQ, Indie 103.1 FM, and KXLU 88.9FM.  This coming  September the band will take up residency at popular LA club the Echo, where they will headline every Monday.

In addition to the band, Rob has held down multiple music industry jobs including working as Music Supervisor for The Clearance Department in Pasadena, where he worked with top bands such as Modest Mouse and Interpol. He is currently on the Board of Directors for the Downtown Film Festival Los Angeles, an offshoot of the very popular Silverlake Film Festival, with responsibility for organizing the festival's street fair and music festival events.
