Although best known for his shred work with Megadeth, Poland is also a first-rate fusion guitarist with a style that encompasses soulful melody and outrageous flashes of technical brilliance. Poland’s inspiring solos combine legato and tremolo bar with exotic scales to create an effect that borders on chaos. Rounding out this powerhouse trio are Kofi Baker (Drums) and Robertino Pagliari (Bass).

	MI Launches Band Booking Service Nov 21, 2008 MI Launches Band Booking Service Nov 21, 2008 Musicians Institute is preparing to launch an exclusive new club booking service for students. Each quarter, four bands will be booked into notable LA performance venues. To qualify, bands must be made up entirely of currently enrolled students and meet certain other requirements. MI’s Artist and Career Services Department will guarantee the club’s minimum ticket sales and if the band sells over 50 tickets through their own promotional efforts they get to keep the additional money. The first show is tentatively booked at the Viper Room for late November; for more information, contact Director of Artist and Career Services Todd Berhorst (323) 860-1118.

	Ableton Live 7 Demo Nov 21, 2008 Ableton Live 7 Demo Nov 21, 2008 MI's Keyboard program has scheduled another "Try It Before You Buy It" product-related clinic featuring a hands-on demonstration of Ableton Live 7 audio software on Friday November 21 at 5:30pm in MI's Passage Digital Lab (adjacent to Hollywood Boulevard). The clinic is only open to current MI students.
