Admissions  How to Apply

 

How to apply to your MI program:

The first step in applying to any program is to fill out an application form. To receive an application, use one of these methods:

Email: click here to write an email request to the MI Admissions Department.

Standard mail: send your request to the following address:

The application form will ask you to provide information related to the program for which you are applying. The admissions process varies somewhat between different programs, so be sure to include all required information when you return your application to MI.

MI offers programs in:

Instrument Performance: Bass (BIT), Guitar (GIT), Drums (PIT), Keyboards (KIT) and Voice (VIT)

  • Bachelor of Music in Performance
  • Associate of Arts in Performance
  • Certificate in Performance
  • Encore (Non-Certificate)

Recording and Music Industry Specialties

  • Certificate in Audio Engineering (RIT)
  • Recording Artist Certificate (RAP)
  • Guitar Craft Certificate (GCA)
  • Music Business Certificate (MBP)
  • Certificate in Music Video, Film and Television Production (FilmIT)

ELS Language Centers: Musicians Institute will accept completion of a specified ELS Language Center level as meeting the English proficiency requirement for admission.
