The Recording Institute of Technology prepares graduates for careers in the professional recording industry by providing in-depth knowledge of the essential technical aspects of recording as well as practical experience in MI’s state-of-the-art studios. Whether your goal is to be a pro audio engineer or to master the recording process as an artist or producer, RIT provides the knowledge and experience to make it a reality.
Program options:
Certificate in Audio Engineering (two quarters, 30 credit units)
Focused, hands-on training in professional audio production
Associate of Arts - Combined Emphasis (six quarters, 90 credit units)
Combines the 30-unit Audio Engineering curriculum with 60 units of performance-based training on bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion, or voice (see Programs>By Degree>Associate of Arts for more information).
Bachelor of Music in Performance, Minor in Audio Production (13 quarters, 192 credit units)
A comprehensive performance degree in bass, guitar, keyboard, percussion or voice including 30 units of intensive training in audio production (see Programs>By Degree>Bachelor of Music for more information)
